A New Leash on Life

A New Leash on Life is a North Alabama nonprofit dedicated to giving homeless pets a second chance through rescue support, foster care, adoption, and community involvement. Their mission is to create a better future for homeless animals by connecting them with loving families while promoting responsible pet ownership and lifesaving programs. Founded in 2004, they serve Huntsville, Madison, and the surrounding North Alabama communities.

There are many ways to support A New Leash on Life. Community members can:

• 🐾 Adopt a dog or cat

• 🏡 Become a foster family

• ❤️ Take a shelter pet on a PAWliday for a fun day away from the shelter

• 🎁 Donate funds or wishlist items

• 🙋 Volunteer at one of their Lifesaving Centers, thrift stores, or adoption events

In addition, A New Leash on Life operates a Huntsville Thrift Boutique, with proceeds helping provide food, medical care, and other essential services for homeless pets. Their organization also hosts regular adoption events throughout the area, making it easy for families to meet adoptable dogs and cats.
