Cattyshack, Inc.

Cattyshack, Inc. is a Huntsville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated exclusively to rescuing, fostering, and finding loving homes for homeless cats and kittens throughout North Alabama. Established in 2019, the organization works closely with foster families to provide food, medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and everything needed to prepare each cat for a successful adoption. Rather than operating a traditional shelter, Cattyshack's cats live in foster homes where they receive individualized care and socialization while waiting for their forever families.

One of Cattyshack's most unique features is the Cattyshack Lounge, located inside Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment. The lounge gives visitors the opportunity to spend time interacting with adoptable cats in a relaxed, home-like environment, helping potential adopters get to know each cat's personality before bringing them home. Even if you're not ready to adopt, visiting the lounge is a wonderful way to support the rescue, socialize the cats, and enjoy some therapeutic time with feline friends. Reservations are required, and proceeds directly support the rescue's lifesaving mission.
