Luna Farms Rescue

Luna Farms Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based nonprofit organization headquartered in North Alabama that works to rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters and connect them with loving homes across Alabama, Pennsylvania, and the Northeast. Rather than operating a traditional shelter, the organization relies on a network of foster families, veterinary partners, transport volunteers, and rescue organizations to provide lifesaving care and create long-term solutions for homeless animals.

Luna Farms Rescue believes that saving lives requires more than adoption alone. In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs, the organization focuses on transport programs, spay and neuter initiatives, community outreach, and partnerships that help reduce shelter overcrowding at its source. Every rescued dog receives appropriate medical care, vaccinations, spay or neuter services, and individualized attention before being matched with a forever family. The rescue is also known for its Encore Pups Program, which gives senior dogs a second chance by providing specialized care and helping them find loving homes where they can enjoy their golden years.
